Next Meeting: Sunday October 26th
As usual, we should be meeting at The Wrens. 7pm kickoff, probably switching the first video on at about 7:30pm. Showings: Draft program. Including Tiggs Panther's Lame Mini-Descriptions. Patlabor Episode 11 Set in the near future, mecha known as Labors are in common use as industrial equipment, and also get used for crime, and therefore by the police as well. .hack//SIGN Episode 1 Rather than purely being based around a video game, this is set inside an MMORPG. When weird things occur in The World, a groups of characters team up inside the game to try and figure it out. Note: This show is licensed and available. So we're showing a few episodes to give people a flavour for it. And if they like it, they can go get the DVDs. Azumanga Daioh Episode 5 & 6 High-school comedy. No action, no nudity, no magic, no plot to speak of, just a lot of character-interaction. And it works! Note: This one's licensed as well. So we'll probably stop showing it once the DVDs start being released. By that time you'll be so hooked you'll just have to buy the DVDs. =^.^= Hikaru no Go Episode 1 Hikaru discovers an old Go (traditional board game played in Japan) board, and encounters Sai - the ghost of an ancient Go player. Sai gets Hikaru more and more interested in the game. And it even has mini Go Lessons at the end of each episode.

Next Meeting
Our next meeting should take place as usual on Sunday October 26th. Same time, same place, some selection of the videos discussed below. More details to (probably) follow nearer to the time.

New Chapter.
Well, I thought it'd be an idea to have something resembling a YATA Website. We did have a proper one apparently, but that kind of fell into disuse. So until we can get that sorted out, here's where stuff can go. We're going to be continuing with showing Patlabor, as those of us who were here this week thought we should continue with it. We also thrashed around some ideas of other stuff to watch. Showing more Azumanga Daioh is definitely popular. So this will also be shown over the next few months. Another suggestion was to show some .hack//SIGN. Seeing that it's been licensed and released, we'll show a few episodes, and if anyone wants to see more they can buy the DVDs. ^_^. (Same with Azumanga. *grin*.) Also, Hikaru no Go. Currently unlicensed. But, again, if licensed we'll show enough to get 'em hooked, then point them at a retailer! =^.^=.
